Dual flushing is ecological!

We all know that our natural environment should be protected – all in all we live on the same planet and so far there’ s no other place for humankind to live, and even if there would be a confirmed habitable planet nearby, we wouldn’ t be able to move there due to technical limitations. That’ s why it is so important to save natural resources and among them the most precious one: drinking water.

Unfortunately, the global reserves of drinking water…

Unfortunately, the global reserves of drinking water are diminishing every year, which is a good reason to save them every way we can.
For some time now in our stores are available toilets equipped with the dual flush button (twyfordbathrooms.com). These toilets were invented to reduce our daily water usage and they are very efficient in their job: usually such dual flush button allows us to flush 3 or 6 litres of water, which is very handy – instead of flushing full tank we can flush for example 3 litres only( best for fluids )and when the need arises, we can flush higher amount of water.

There is no official data on the exact amount of water saved this way, but it is estimated that a typical human uses the toilet about 5 times a day. Typically only once a day we have to flush solid waste, which means that we flush about 18-20 litres of water when using a modern toilet. In case of old toilets this amount should be at least tripled or even quadrupled – as you see it is really beneficial to buy a dual flush toilet!.
